Annoying little things.

• People that don't put a buyout on consumables/trade goods on the AH. If I'm levelling leatherworking and need 3 Black pearls to do so, I'm not going to wait for 24 hours for your auction to finish because you're too stupid to put a buyout on your auction in the hope that bidding on your pearls will go through the roof. I'm going to pay a higher price to get them now! Stupid people.
• Beggars - Some clown in Org today said "Can I borrow 69g, I want to buy a Fiery War Axe" (which incidentally is an an overpriced piece of crap anyway). I laughed at him and told him no. He argued with me when I said it was crap and not worth the money he wanted to borrow from me to buy it. So I said "ok, you tell me what makes that such a good weapon". *tumbleweeds*
• Passengers - people who want the purple loot and the thrill of seeing end game content, but are too lazy and/or stupid to gear/skill themselves appropriately.
• Extended maintenance when there's not a patch. Actually *ponder* extended maintenance, period.

The list is much longer than this, but I can't be bothered at the moment :)

Spawns of the rarest kind.

I've been playing this game now since December 2004. Is it a little silly that I still get excited when I come across a rarespawn I haven't seen before? I've seen 3 in the last day and every time I get a kick out of it.

I wonder how many more I still haven't seen.

Ok now I believe the release date. However, I stand by my original comments that it will be January (maybe December) before we get our grubby mitts on it.

So, wowhead has an "official" release date for LK on the front page. 13 November.

Interestingly there's no mention of this uber-date on blizzard.com, the LK site or worldofwarcraft.com so ex-squeeze me if I seem highly skeptical. I call shenanigans.

My tin-foil hat theory? It's a carrot being dangled by Blizzard to stop people wandering off to try Warhammer. If there's no release date for LK, people will get sick of waiting and go try WAR. If they have a "confirmed" date that isn't too far away, they'll go "meh, I'll just wait."

I could be wrong and would be happy to be proven so, but given they're still releasing beta patches and we're still waiting for 3.0.2 to go live, 13 November seems highly unlikely.

My prediction: January 2009 (at best maybe a gnat's dick before Christmas 2008).

Ouch

Seems a good a time as any to start this blog. I'm sick and don't have the energy for anything much at all. My throat hurts like a bastard and I can't stop coughing. Strep throat ftw!
